Before You Ever Arrive on Site

A good shoot day actually starts days before anyone shows up with a camera. Before every production, I do a thorough pre-production review that includes airspace checks, weather monitoring, a review of the property or facility layout, and coordination with anyone on site who needs to know we are coming. By the time we arrive, the plan is already in place.

For clients with specific visual priorities, whether it is certain rooms, certain equipment, or certain angles that matter most for your marketing, we discuss those in advance so nothing gets missed on the day.

Arrival and Setup

I arrive early enough to walk the space before any filming begins. This gives me a chance to evaluate the actual conditions on site, make any adjustments to the plan based on lighting or access, and identify any factors that were not visible from pre-production research. For interior productions, this walk-through usually takes 15 to 30 minutes. For exterior drone shoots, we check wind conditions and confirm our flight plan before launching.

During the Shoot

  • The goal is always to complete the full scope of the production in a single session, minimizing the time impact on your operations or your workday.
  • For real estate shoots, we typically work through the property systematically, covering each room and space efficiently before moving to exterior and aerial work.
  • For industrial or commercial facility shoots, we coordinate the sequence around active operations so we are working with the site, not against it.
  • Drone flights are conducted safely and clearly communicated to anyone on or near the site beforehand.

After the Shoot

Once we wrap on site, post-production begins. For most productions, you can expect to receive your edited deliverables within 48 hours. I do not send rough cuts. What you receive is ready to deploy across your website, social media, MLS listing, or wherever the content needs to live.

What I Need From You

The most important thing you can do before a shoot is make sure the space or property is ready to be photographed. For real estate, that means staging is complete, the space is clean, and any vehicles or items that do not belong in the shots are moved. For commercial or industrial shoots, it means letting your team know a production is happening so they are not surprised by a drone in the facility.

Beyond that, I handle everything. You do not need to manage the process or babysit the shoot. Show up, let me do the work, and I will deliver content that represents your property or business well.

"A great shoot day is the result of preparation. The more we nail down in advance, the smoother everything goes on the day."
